The ambulance has arrived! Normally, that kind of an announcement might not be all that cheery but – in this case – it’s great news! Our donation of a new ambulance to Africa New Life and the Dream Medical Center in the capital city of Kigali, Rwanda will enable them to reach, transport, treat and save countless men, women, and children who live in remote villages throughout the country. These are people who would have no possible means of getting to the hospital. Recently, our friends at Africa New Life posted the following on their social media: “An amazing new addition for the Dream Medical Center has arrived! We are beyond blessed to see God work in miraculous ways for this hospital and the people of Rwanda.” Along with the update, they posted this great picture.
The man standing next to the ambulance is Dr. Sam Kagali (I know, exactly the same name as the city he serves). He works as the Medical Director for the Dream Medical Center. His dream is to see the Medical Center become self-sustainable and focus on serving all in Rwanda. He expressed his personal thanks to us: “God has been faithful. We have been building without a debt. As a mission-focused ministry we hope to be fully funded and give health care to those who cannot afford it. We want to be able to move further with our mission statement as a ministry, which is evangelism… Our medical center is special in a way that most of our profits we will invest in helping people who cannot afford health care. This medical center, God willing, will enable us to help fund other ministries within Africa New Life like their Bible school.”
I had the wonderful privilege of meeting with Dr. Sam last fall during my most recent visit to our friends in Rwanda, where we also sponsor children directly through Africa New Life. The Hospital construction is complete, and they are all set to go operational later this month and begin receiving patients. What an incredible joy to partner with such an amazing organization! These people are helping to rebuild and transform the nation of Rwanda from the ground up.
We are able to do this only because of God’s ongoing provision through generous donors like you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Our investment in the children of Rwanda and beyond will be multiplied for generations in ways we can’t even fully comprehend.
